The Laurels, Radlett
Extension and Alterations

Counter & King were asked to develop a conservatory extension for a Client in Radlett.

The scheme comprises a detached Conservatory stlyle building with glazed links back to the main house.

The new building is conceived as a colonnade of cruciform brick columns in-filled with specially developed double glazed Crittal windows to match the style and character of the existing building. The Colonnade supports an elongated hipped barrel vault with a glazed high level clearstorey at the apex. The roof is steel and timber shell structure clad externally with standing seam aluminium roofing.

In addition the project includes a large scale refurbishment of the house including a live work and exercise suite in the loft space.
